"DIVE SCHOOL" BEGINNER CLASSES (Ages 5 to 12 years)
|
New 45 minute “Come and Try” Diving Lessons
The only requirement to dive at Ringwood Diving Club is that you are a minimum of 5 years old and must be able to swim confidently in deep water.
If you've done trampolining or gymnastics before, then you'll already have some of the skills necessary to become a first class springboard or highboard diver.
In a wider context, few sports develop co-ordination, confidence and physical fitness better than diving!
There are three levels of classes for children.
Beginner Lessons (45 minute session)
Intermediate Lessons (45 minute session)
Advanced Lessons (45 minute session)
The children have the opportunity to participate in the Ringwood Diving Club's award scheme, which is designed to give pupils an early introduction to diving skills. The awards scheme is a fun activity to bridge the gap between swimming lessons and the diving squads, or as an alternative to swimming lessons. This exciting introduction to diving builds water confidence and works on fundamental skills like posture, balance, rotation, body awareness and develop skills for springing, preparing the diver to progress to advanced skills.
